Crystal's bridal portraits

  I've been hanging on to these until after Crystal's wedding.  Unfortunately, I was booked for her wedding day, so I only got to do the bridals, but we had a great time and got some really great shots!

I met Crystal at Poffie Girls in Gastonia while she was searching for the perfect dress, and she found it!  It's a gorgeous, lace, vintage inspired gown that  looked as if it were made specifically for her...

Happy Independence Day!

  For the Fourth of July holiday, we always head towards the cool mountains of Linville, NC, with Jay's family.  Every year, there is a big golf cart parade, and lots of the families participate by dressing up a golf cart in red, white, and blue or some fun theme!

  This year, we chose to do a Hawaiian themed cart-we threw out leis to the kids and dressed in grass skirts and hawaiian shirts.

And our nephew, Chandler, who was our ukelele strummer!

Here's most of us, minus our other nephew, Cameron, and his girlfriend, Allie... they had wandered off to look at the vintage Rolls Royce leading the parade...

  We got them in the next photo, but we lost Jay!

Here's Cameron and Allie, and their sweet doggie Salvador (but we call him Dali).

That afternoon, we headed up to the Camp at Linville for food and fireworks...and a few pictures beforehand...

And, of course, the fireworks.....

Katie and David ROCK THE DRESS!

     Rock The Dress is a special fashion photo session I offer for after the wedding day, up to a year afterward.

     This session is a way for the bride to get another chance to wear her special dress, as well as get some really cool portraits with her new husband there just aren't time for on the wedding day.

     Some brides choose to wear their dress as they wore it on their wedding day; some REALLY ROCK it with fun accessories and props, like Katie did.

     You may remember Katie and David's wedding in Santa Monica, California, from a previous blog.  Instead of wearing her dress the way she did on the California beach, Katie ROCKed hers with a black cage veil, black gloves, and black jewelry.  This way, she got two completely different looks from the same dress, and had a great time in their photo session!

Kristin + Ryan

 Kristin and Ryan are originally from 'up North,' but have made their home here in Charlotte, NC.  They like to travel, and especially taking day trips to the beautiful mountains in the Blowing Rock and Banner Elk area!  So, we took a little drive and did their engagement session in the lovely, and cool, mountains last weekend!

They were super silly, super in love, and great sports about 'the really cool rocks', rain, and playing in the road!

Priscilla Kanipe bridals

Angela + John

  This past weekend, I had the pleasure to meet Angela and John for their engagement portraits...and they were sooo cute!  I don't think 10 minutes passed without them saying "I love you!"
  Angela and John have been dating over 14 years, so this wedding has been a long time in coming...they are looking at a date in September 2011.
